Matthew Leonard

Executive Vice President, President North America and Global Supply Chain Officer

Matthew Leonard is the President of North America and Global Supply Chain Officer for Covetrus. Leonard joins Covetrus from CVS Health after more than two decades of service, most recently as EVP of Pharmaceutical Contracting, Purchasing & Managed Care. Leonard was also President and Chairman of the Board of Red Oak Sourcing, LLC, the largest generic drug purchasing entity in the United States, where he oversaw all aspects of CVS Health’s generic sourcing venture with Cardinal Health. During his tenure, Leonard led strategy and operations for CVS’ pharmaceutical purchasing program and was responsible for the company’s relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesalers. Leonard also architected and executed strategies to drive operational excellence throughout the supply chain, including purchasing efficiencies tied to numerous M&A transactions CVS Health completed over the last two decades.

Sean Henderson

Chief Financial Officer

Sean Henderson is the chief financial officer for Covetrus, North America, formerly Henry Schein Animal Health. Sean leads the Animal Health Finance Department. He is responsible for all financial matters, including accounting, budgeting, tax, and financial reporting, planning and analysis. 

Sean brings over 20 years of financial leadership to the role. Prior to joining Henry Schein Animal Health, Sean spent 12 years at McKesson, most recently as vice president/chief financial officer for their fastest growing technology business unit. Prior to that, Sean was the finance leader of the largest region within McKesson’s US pharmaceutical distribution business. Sean’s experience also includes financial leadership roles with World Omni Financial Corp, a JM Family Enterprises subsidiary, and AT&T. Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and an MBA from Cornell University.

Tom Forte

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer

Tom Forte leads the commercial organization for Covetrus, North America. Prior to that, he led Henry Schein Animal Health's entire sales organization,  including our outside and inside sales representatives, as the executive vice president, sales.  Before joining Henry Schein Animal Health, Tom was vice president, North America / companion animal and Latin American operations at Norbrook Inc., where he was responsible for operational performance, go-to market approach and strategic planning. Prior to his experience at Norbrook, Tom spent 14 years with Pfizer, Inc. in roles of increasing responsibility culminating his career there as group director, Zoetis (Pfizer Animal Health) – U.S. companion animal division sales. Tom earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.

Chris Berk

Chief Information Officer

Chris Berk is the chief information officer for Covetrus, North America, formerly Henry Schein Animal Health. Chris brings more than 20 years of experience in driving change in dynamic, fast-paced environments in consultant and senior management roles.  Berk was most recently the Vice President, Director of Enterprise Program Management for inVentiv Health.  At inVentiv, Berk established and led the Enterprise Program Management office team.

Prior to inVentiv, Berk spent more than 18 years at Resource Ammirati in roles of increasing responsibility, including CIO, Executive Director of IT Strategy and Operations, and CTO, Executive Director of Digital Technology Practice.

Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in MIS and an MBA at The Ohio State University - The Max M. Fisher College of Business.

Tracy Howard

Vice President of Marketing

Tracy Howard is the vice president of marketing for Covetrus, North America. in September of 2016. Tracy leads the marketing and advertising department. She is responsible for developing and executing the company's go-to-market strategy. 

Tracy has over 20 years marketing experience with the majority of her time spent in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Henry Schein Animal Health, Tracy spent 17 years at Cardinal Health in roles with increasing leadership responsibility. Most recently Tracy was the vice president of global commercialization strategy for Cardinal Health, where she was responsible for domestic and international service commercial strategies within their Medical segment. Prior to her experience at Cardinal Health Tracy spent time in the for-profit educational sector developing go-to-market strategies.  Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University in Communications and Public Relations.

Mario Lombardi

Vice President of Operations and Logistics Services

Mario Lombardi is the vice president of operations and logistics services at Covetrus, North America. He joined the company as director of operations in January, 2014. Mario’s responsibilities include the strategic planning for distribution operations, overseeing the daily operations of our 12 distribution center network, outbound transportation and inventory management.

Mario has 26 years of healthcare supply chain experience, including 14 years with Cardinal Health. He also served in distribution management roles with Exel Logistics and Fisher Scientific. 

Mario earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration degree from John Carroll University. He served as a transportation officer in the US Army Reserve and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War.

Davey Stone

Vice President, Specialty Markets & Corporate Philanthropy

Davey Stone is the vice president, Specialty Markets & Corporate Philanthropy for Covetrus, North America. Prior to that, he served Henry Schein Animal Health as the vice president of marketing and sales services since 1999. He has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing functions within the veterinary distribution market. He joined Butler via the acquisition of Durr Medical's veterinary division in 1997 where he served as director of sales and marketing. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Davey has served on the board of directors of the American Veterinary Distributors Association and VEDCO.

Jim Maurer

Vice President, Finance

Jim Maurer is the vice president of finance for Covetrus, North America. Jim is responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and all financial business support. Jim also leads the efforts for strategic planning and business development. 

Jim has more than 13 years of finance experience. Jim has served as the director of finance, global commercial, at Hospira. Jim was also with CareFusion, where he was director of corporate financial planning and analysis. He also held roles of increasing responsibility at Cardinal Health.

Jim has Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University of Ohio.

Joy Gallo

Vice President, Procurement

Joy Gallo joined is the vice president of procurement for Covetrus, North America (formerly Henry Schein Animal Health). Prior to joining Henry Schein Animal Health, Gallo held numerous roles at Ashland Distribution, focused on strategic sourcing, procurement, commercial sales, and supply chain. During her time with Ashland, she managed $1.4 billion in global responsibility with teams in North America, Europe, Asia and South America. 

Gallo currently serves on the national board of Women for Economic Leadership Development (WELD) in Columbus, Ohio and leads the WELD corporate relations committee. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and completed executive training at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Ed Thomas

Vice President, Corporate Controller

Ed Thomas has served Covetrus North American (formerly Henry Schein Animal Health) as the vice president and corporate controller since May 2007. Ed formerly served as the controller for Butler Animal Health Supply since 2005, and The Butler Company from 1993 to 2005. Ed joined the company from The ChemLawn Corporation where he served in a variety of capacities, including financial reporting manager and assistant controller. He has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance in the distribution and service industries. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Ken Parish

Vice President, Strategic Accounts

Ken Parish is the vice president for strategic accounts at Covetrus, North America. Ken has 30 years of experience in animal health, including 11 years in distribution and 19 years with Hill’s Pet Nutrition. He has held numerous roles in sales and was most recently a national sales director at Hills. His wealth of knowledge of our industry, experience with corporate accounts, relationships with key customers and engaging personality make him a great addition to our team. Ken graduated from Texas A & M University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science.

Elizabeth Ann Ernst

Vice President of Regulatory & Quality (Global)

Elizabeth Ernst is responsible for ensuring that Covetrus, North America (formerly Henry Schein Animal Health) Covetrus, North America Distribution Centers located within the continental USA are compliant to all federal and state laws pertaining to FDA, DEA, OSHA, EPA, Radiation Control for Health and Safety and Board of Pharmacies, USDA and state licensing throughout the United States.

Elizabeth has 25 years experience as a Regulatory and Quality Compliance Leader and subject matter expert in new FDA product submission/registrations, state and board of pharmacy (BOP) licensing and certification requirements, regulatory compliance, quality, drug safety, clinical trials, and project management for drugs, medical devices, EPA registered products, and cosmetics. She has developed and led risk evaluation assessments, quality, labeling and compliance strategies in pharmaceutical and medical device development and lifecycle as well as throughout distribution supply chain.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University and a Master's Degree in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from Temple University.
